Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

CPR is often necessary on newborn animals immediately after an assisted birth or caesarean section. The primary problem in these cases is oxygen deprivation during the delivery. It is vital that the animal is assessed immediately after birth and effective CPR is provided promptly if required. This requires careful planning and cooperation by the veterinary care team.
